Braids are one of those hair trends that just won't quit - and we love it! They are beautiful, easy to style, and work for every hair type - from thick to fine and straight to curly! In addition to all those gorgeous Pinspirations out there, check out how you can get a braided headband in four easy steps.
Step 1: Before you begin your braid make sure your hair is completely smooth and free of tangles, notes. This will make the braiding process much easier. It’s also a good idea to begin with straight or wavy hair.
Step 2: Grab a section of hair below your ear and begin French braiding upwards towards your forehead, pulling 1 inch wide pieces at a time. You want to loosely braid the section, keeping the braid loose for length. A tip to make braiding a little easier is to flip all of your hair over to one side and lean your head in that direction as you work. Alternatively tie your hair back and out of the way.
Step 3: Continue braiding from your forehead around to the bottom of your head. If your hair is long enough, keep on braiding until the braid reaches the original starting point below your ear.
Step 4: When your braid is complete position to your preference and secure the end with a small clear elastic and tuck it underneath the thicker section using one to two bobby pins to secure it in place. Finish the look with a spritz of hairspray.Back to Blogs
